2023 StyldLife Fundraiser with the International Myeloma Foundation
It's the season of giving-- Give back with StyldLife!
Matilda Green has been a UK-based member of our team for 4 years. During our StyldLife weekly team meetings, we were following her Mum’s difficult cancer journey. She told us how her Mum, Barley, was feeling each week as she went through her harsh cancer treatments. When we heard that her treatments, scans, and chemo had finally finished and she came out shining, we were so proud. So as soon as the team heard about Barley’s fundraiser for Myeloma, Julie knew that StyldLife had to support the cause.
Barley was running the entire event; there was to be live music, wellbeing workshops, art classes, an art auction, and luxury tapas - all in one back garden…in one day! Needless to say, Barley was going to be busy. Since she was the face of the fundraising and the event (and it was her 50th Birthday!) she wanted to look stunning and feel confident on her big day.
A StyldLife call and a stressful few prep days later, Barley’s big day came. She felt confident, looked stunning, and raised 6,177 Pound Sterling (more than $7000) for the cause.
It was an absolute win for Barley, her family and Myeloma UK. The team over at Myeloma UK was so grateful and I’m sure many other families with similar struggles will be too as this money goes to an important cause. It was an emotional day and we’re so glad that StyldLife was a small part of making the day so special.
Please support the International Myeloma Foundation. It is a cancer that we can all stop if we just put our minds to it. Our hearts go out to anyone else who has been affected by the big C and we truly wish you well.
This is a positive heartwarming story that’s woven into our own company story and we’re all so proud of how Matilda’s Mum has been a strong, empowering woman despite the hardships. Barley has inspired us to go above and beyond with our charity work this year, but it’s also inspired us to be positive and have a little faith, no matter what life throws at you.
