Halloween is right around the corner and it’s the one night you can get as creative and festive as you want! If you don’t want to spend a ton of money on your costume, all you have to do is pull out your makeup bag and get creative with what you already have! We’ve put together a quick list of some of the easiest makeup ideas you can do to spruce up your costume.
BLACK CAT

This is a classic. Just take some eye-liner and draw on some whiskers and a little black nose and you’re all set! The look is even better is you add some winged eyeliner to your eyes for the perfect and chic kitty cat look.
VAMPIRE

This one is as easy as 1, 2, BLOOD! Do a full face of makeup (easy enough). Take a light-colored eyeliner and draw a series of squiggles under your eyes. When you get to the lips… make sure to go dark. If you want to make the look a little more dramatic, take a red lip color and create a blood dripping effect under your lips. Voila… you’re done!
SCARECROW

The scarecrow makeup look is usually one of the cutest looks at the Halloween party! Take some eyeliner and draw a line on both sides of your face from the corner of your mouth to your ear. Then add vertical dashes along the lines. Next is your nose. Create a triangular shape on the tip of your nose and add the same vertical dashes. Fill that shape in with some orange eye shadow… and that’s it! It’s that simple!
You can add vertical lines under your eyes or a straw hat to polish off the look!
VENTRILOQUIST DOLL

This look is one of our favorites! While it’s similar to the scarecrow look… it’s not done nearly as much… so you’re sure to stand out! We suggest filling your eyebrows in with a bright color for this look! It will give you a playful effect. Next... it’s all in the lips. Use your lipstick to exaggerate the top of your lips and stop short of lining your lips to the ends of your mouth.
You want to create a box-like shape. Finally, use an eyeliner pencil to draw a line from the corner of your mouth to your chin. Do this on both sides and you are now a dummy!
PLASTIC SURGERY PATIENT

This is look is a series of dashes you could do in 5 minutes or less! All you need to do is use some eyeliner to outline your face in dashed lines. You can go all around your face, or create an eye mask outline, use your imagination!
MASKED SUPERHERO

Finally, be your own superhero! Take whatever color eyeliner or eye shadow you want, draw on a simple eye mask shape, and then fill it in! That’s it! You’re done!
Note: If you do a black mask you could also be a Halloween bandit!
All of these looks can be done by anyone! If you need a little help or want something more elaborate, schedule an appointment with one of our makeup artists! They’ll be able to walk you through, step-by-step, on creating the look you want this Halloween!
